Iskaypet Group has confirmed that it has acquired the Portuguese pet shop chain Ornimundo.
Ornimundo belonged to the wholesale company Propet in Alfena and has over 30 pet shops as well as three veterinary centres and 20 veterinary practices throughout Portugal.
The Iskaypet Group already owns the Spanish pet shop chains Kiwoko and Tiendanimal as well as the veterinary chains Kivet, Clinicanimal and Vetsum. More than 2 000 people are employed in around 200 shops. Iskaypet is owned by Emefin, the company of a Peruvian family group.
